Electrical Utilities – Service Territory Analyses

Client: Ecova

Location: Multiple Locations, U.S.

Ecova is an international energy and sustainability management company that helps their clients save resources. This increases profitability, lowers risks, and enhances their clients’ reputations. For the last few years, we’ve been helping Ecova map and analyze electrical utility service territories throughout the country. We’ve worked on behalf of Ecova for utilities in over a dozen states.

We have been able to help Ecova understand the geographic areas served by electrical utilities and the types of retail businesses and populations that live and operate in those territories. This information is a critical component in Ecova’s development of energy saving programs for their utility clients.

Our team has been involved in service territory mapping and analysis, utility line mapping, identifying and compiling specific retail channel and business information for further use in GIS, and developing demographic and socioeconomic metrics. Additionally, we’ve produced stunning cartographic products for use in print and client presentations, as well as for general planning purposes.
