New GIS Consortium & FLO Bring Increased Access to GIS Services for Connecticut Municipalities

Author: Grant Herbert, GISP Published: February 21, 2020

We are excited to announce the launch of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities GIS Consortium! This new program will bring increased access to affordable GIS services for municipalities in Connecticut. CCM created the GIS Consortium out of a recognition that GIS is an integral tool for local government, yet barriers to access, like cost and technical expertise, remain. By leveraging the collective buying power of its members and partnering with FLO to provide all GIS services through the program, CCM’s GIS Consortium will provide easy access to the GIS expertise and resources towns and cities need to implement the best GIS solutions for their communities.

“CCM is thrilled to offer its members another money saving program that will work in service of the organization’s mission: to improve the everyday lives of Connecticut residents. We look forward to working with FLO to bring affordable GIS services to our municipal members and their staff so they can better take advantage of the myriad technology solutions available to make local government work smarter.” —Andrew R. Merola, CEP, CCM Program Development Manager & Programs Counsel
