FLO has undergone quite the expansion recently, and we’ve brought on some great new talent to match the increasing demand for FLO’s services. With these hires, we’re stepping up our capacity in GIS development, analysis, and sector-specific expertise.
Grant Herbert—GIS Developer
We hired Grant to support and extend our capabilities in web map development, scripting, and asset management. He comes from a strong GIS background, with over 12 years’ experience both abroad and in the States. Grant is hard at work developing an internal data portal, administering and developing our server infrastructure, and supporting some of our biggest projects.
Ryan Callihan—GIS Analyst
Ryan comes to us from academia, where he spent several years as a researcher using GIS in projects ranging from lake mapping to climate change. Ryan loves data crunching and spatial analysis. So far, we’ve kept him very busy mapping potential brownfields, creating Web maps, conducting complex spatial analysis, and supporting our day-to-day operations.
Josh Miller—GIS Analyst
Josh is our most recent hire and brings an excellent skillset in industry-focused, applied GIS. He comes to us with nine years’ experience in the utilities industry, with applied knowledge in water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure. Josh is an addition to our Seattle office, and we’re excited to have him expand our GIS capabilities in the Puget Sound and beyond.
