“The visual nature of GIS is what initially drew me into pursuing GIS as a career. I have always loved maps and GIS can help us better understand the data within a map. I appreciate that GIS can capture, analyze, and visualize complex spatial and non-spatial data and make it accessible to anyone. I enjoy being able to work with communities to help them get a better understanding of their data by using the tools that can be built with GIS.”
